Zombie-slaying gamers are being targeted in a new tie-up between Monster Energy and Call of Duty.
Monster has unveiled a new on-pack promo that, for the first time, will give gamers the chance to earn double XP points in Zombie Mode in upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which is released on 6 November.
Running from 31 October to 31 March next year, cans will have a unique code under the ring pull that can be used online, with single packs giving 15 minutes of double XP and multipack cans up to 30 minutes. Branded cans featuring artwork from Call of Duty will be supported with POS material including dump bins and case stackers.
This is the third consecutive year Monster has partnered with the Activision game, which is regularly one of the biggest releases of the year.
“We are very excited to be working with Call of Duty again, and look forward to delivering our most successful partnership yet,” said Caroline Cater, operational marketing director at Monster UK distributor CCE.
The COD: Black Ops 3 marks the first time Zombie Mode has had its own XP progression system.
