Yoghurt brand The Collective has been inspired to launch a Halloween-themed limited-edition yoghurt by The Grocer.
From 18 September, The Collective will be rolling out 500g pots of Spiced Pumpkin yoghurt (rsp: £2.39) with an orange label featuring “ghoulish graphics”. The product pairs The Collective yoghurt with sweet pumpkin compote, orange zest, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg and is designed to evoke the flavours of pumpkin pie.
“The Halloween market is rapidly growing in the UK and we have created our Spiced Pumpkin yoghurt to provide consumers and retailers with a dairy option during this key seasonal event,” said Amelia Harvey, UK co-founder of The Collective.
The launch was inspired by an article that appeared in last year’s The Dairymen supplement in The Grocer, she added.
“The article was about the lack of seasonal SKUs in the dairy fixture and cited Halloween as an example,” she said. “At Christmas time we produce Christmas Pud yoghurt and we got thinking about more seasonal opportunities. We are looking forward to our bright orange pack hitting the shelves and bringing some Halloween cheer to the yoghurt aisle.”
The Collective Spiced Pumpkin yoghurt will be stocked by Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, The Co-op Group, Ocado, Whole Foods Market, Booths and Nisa.
