Aldi is building on its recent run of popular ‘Like Brands’ ads by sponsoring Australian soap Neighbours. The Aldi bumpers, created by advertising agency McCann, will appear at the start, middle and end of each episode. Neighbours appears twice daily on Channel 5. The show, which launched in the UK in 1986 and attracted viewing figures of 16 million on BBC1, moved to Channel 5 in 2008 and is currently watched by about 1.5 million viewers.
