Menzies Distribution and Smiths News have both bagged new contracts with Telegraph Media Group.
The newspaper and magazine wholesalers have both extended their contracts with the publisher until October 2019.
Menzies said the extension secured £75m of annual trade sales value, while Smiths News valued the contract at around £137m a year.
“I am very pleased to have secured terms with the Telegraph,” said Menzies Distribution MD David McIntosh.
“This renewal is a further step in underpinning our core business. With the Telegraph, News International and Marketforce now signed up to long term contracts running through to 2019 we can plan for the future knowing we have a strong core to build from.”
Smiths News CEO Mark Cashmore added: “We are delighted to have extended our relationship with Telegraph Media Group, securing another significant publisher agreement for our newspaper and magazine distribution business. Visibility of almost one third of revenues to 2019 reinforces confidence in our strategy and the ability of Smiths News to deliver sustainable profits in the medium term.”
In a statement, Telegraph Media Group added: “These new agreements secure TMG’s route to market across the majority of the UK and Ireland for a further five years, maintaining the distribution footprint that has been in place since 2009.”
