Supplier Beechdean will be bringing brands including Jelly Belly, Scooby-Doo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to ice cream freezers.
Buckinghamshire-based Beechdean has secured a licensing deal with Jelly Belly Candy Company and will next month launch two new impulse ice lollies inspired by the brand’s Bubble Gum and Orange flavours (rsp: 80p/80ml).
A new deal has also been agreed with Warner Bros, and Beechdean is looking to take on the likes of Magnum and Feast with three premium handheld Scooby-Doo ‘Scooby Snack’ ice creams - chocolate, honeycomb and white chocolate & strawberry.
“Scooby is loved by a core audience of four to 15 year-olds but is also remembered by their parents,” said Beechdean MD Andrew Howard, adding that the lines would roll out in Q2.
Beechdean already makes products based on Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, and is next month launching chocolate ice cream sticks based on the channel’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (rsp: 70p/65ml).
