Sales of A2 milk were on track to break through the £1m mark this week after distribution rose to more than 1,000 stores.
A2 is now stocked by Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado, Booths, Budgens and Nisa, and this month went into 70 more London Tesco stores.
A2, which launched last autumn, posted a 57% increase in sales to almost £850,000 in the 22-week period to 23 August against the previous period [Nielsen].
This week, CEO Sean Uprichard said sales were now set to pass the £1m mark. “We are continually working hard to make A2 Milk even more widely available,” he added.
In Australia, A2 commands a 7.9% value share of total retail milk.
