Swedish cider brand Kopparberg is offering London commuters the chance to ditch the Tube or bus for a husky ride.
Workers can apply for a ride on ‘The Kopparberg Line’ – a shortcut through Kennington Park on a sled – via Twitter or Facebook. Those who win a ride will also be sent a case of new Kopparberg variant Spiced Apple, which is exclusive to Tesco and Asda for a limited period.
“We’re turning rush hour into mush hour,” said Kopparberg marketing head Rob Calder. “We wanted to cut through the winter drudgery and offer commuters something warmer and more exciting.”
Kopparberg was one of the biggest beneficiaries of this summer’s heatwave, when its best-selling Mixed Fruit line rose 76% by value year-on-year [Nielsen 3 m/e August 2013].
