Tyrrells is entering the fruit snacks market with a range of apple crisps.

Positioned as a mid-morning or afternoon snack, the 30g bags come in two variants - Proudly Plain and Smashingly Cinnamony (rsp £0.99- £1.29) - and go on sale this week in Sainsbury’s.

“It meets the needs of people who want something sweet without punishing levels of satfat. They’re cooked at a low temperature, which makes them crisp without being too dry or chewy,” said Tyrrells.
