Yorkshire Tea bucked the downward trend in tea as rivals PG Tips (71) and Twinings (79) suffered sales declines in 2016. Its Yorkshire Tea Original and premium products such as Yorkshire Gold have been the key drivers. The brand says it’s been able to keep hold of shoppers and attract new tea drinkers primarily through its Brewtopia TV campaign - 321,500 new households bought Yorkshire last year, it claims. This month it will launch its biggest TV campaign to date with a spend of £7m.
