Green & Black’s chocolate has been named the coolest food brand in the UK for the fourth consecutive year by trend experts.
The Fairtrade chocolate company was commended for successfully combining ethical credentials with style by CoolBrands, which ranks thousands of brands each year according to style, innovation, desirability and originality.
“The brand has created an emotional attachment with consumers that drives desirability and gives it an edge that is hard for competitors to erode.” said Stephen Cheliotis, the chair CoolBrands Council.
Green & Black’s brand manager Anita Kinniburgh said the challenge would be to capitalise on the award “by continuing to innovate and deliver indulgent, delicious chocolate in the stylish design and packaging we are renowned for”.
More than 2,300 consumers took part in the survey alongside a voluntary group of brand experts. The poll was independently managed by The Centre for Brand Analysis on behalf of Superbrands (UK).
Other CoolBrand winners included Jack Daniel’s and Aston Martin.
