Weetabix is kicking off a new ad campaign for its Weetabix Chocolate Spoonsize cereal tomorrow to emphasise its energy credentials.
The new ad stars nine-year old UK Streetdance star Arizona Snow ‘popping’, ‘locking’ and ‘tutting’ her way through a high-energy street dance routine in her bedroom. The ad signs off with the strapline ‘Fuel for Fun’.
Spoonsize is an extension of the Weetabix Chocolate brand, launched just over a year ago.
“These days, life is pretty busy for children of all ages and sometimes it’s easy to forget that kids just want to be kids and have have fun,” said Weetabix marketing manager Francesca Davies.
“The new ad is designed to tap into this truth and position Weetabix Chocolate Spoonsize as a great start to the day for kids, helping them to make the most of every moment.”
Meanwhile, Weetabix has reportedly begun talks with lenders with a view to a £900m debt refinancing. The cereal maker has been owned by Lion Capital since 2004.
