Aldi is appealing for job applicants for new roles as it rapidly expands its supply chain department to feed growth.
“Due to the growth of Aldi we are expanding the supply chain department at a rapid rate and we have plenty of new roles available from administrators all the way up to manager level,” a member of Aldi UK’s recruitment team posted on LinkedIn this week.
“If you are looking for a new challenge, please apply today!”
Roles currently advertised by the discounter include customs managers and analysts and supply chain managers, co-ordinators and assistants, with annual starting salaries ranging from £33,000 to £56,000.
Recruitment is seen as a challenge for both Aldi and Lidl as they seek to grow and supply their store estates. Earlier this year, Aldi said it had 8,000 vacancies in the UK, while Lidl said it had 3,000.

Aldi wants 1,200 stores by 2025, while Lidl is aiming for 1,100 – up from about 950 each this year. Analysts see keeping up with those targets as crucial to optimising the growth opportunity the cost of living crisis presents to the discounters.
Lates Kantar data puts both discounters’ market share at record highs, with Aldi on 9% in the 12 weeks to 12 June and Lidl on 6.9%.
IGD last month forecast discounters would be the fastest-growing grocery channel over the next five years, with sales rising 23.9% compared with 11.3% for the wider market, though estate expansion would become more challenging for them.
An Aldi spokesman said as a growing business it always had vacancies in supply chain and other departments.
