A slip for the Bisto kid. Sales are down 7.2%, wiping £10.5m off its fortunes. To fight back it has invested in premium NPD, launching Bisto Best ready-made gravy last August. New premium products pushed average prices across the brand up 4.7%, the second biggest price rise of the year.
