Rsp: £2.39 for a two-pack
Competition: Plenty, Lotus
The sell: The new “super-strong kitchen towel” aims to wow consumers and shake up the sector
The consumer
This is good and far superior to the kitchen roll I normally use in terms of strength. I'm not sure it would stand the test of cleaning my car, though, as the producer claims. The packaging is nice and bright and would catch my eye on the shelf when shopping. I would buy this again for special use but it is too expensive to become part of my weekly shopping list. Three stars (out of five)

The expert
Having tried the product, there is no doubt it is durable. But to say that it "performs like a cloth" is exaggerating a little. It performs as well if not better than many kitchen towels, but the price tag is high for the current marketplace, especially within the independent retail sector. The national TV campaign will help in the short-term but I would question if this will last the test of time. Three stars

The Grocer
My car seems to be a magnet for bird droppings and Georgia-Pacific claims this new product can make car cleaning (as well as polishing furniture and scrubbing the hob) a doddle. The gifts from my feathered friends were wiped away easily enough, though the Multi Cloths did start to fall apart when push came to shove.
But did they make me want to ditch my sponge for good? I can't say they did. And at £2.39, they seem a tad overpriced. Plus, to me the package looks more akin to own label than that of a trusted brand. Two stars
