After launching a campaign to bring back an iconic British brand as part of The Grocer’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Unilever succumbed to consumer pressure (powered by The Grocer’s viral use of ultra-modern social media) and brought 1980s ice cream favourite Funny Feet back to the freezer aisle (24 August). The campaign, shortlisted for a prestigious publishing industry award, also inspired Burton’s to announce plans to bring back its iconic Fish N Chips crisps in January 2014.
