Dean & DeLuca started out in New York City in 1977 and is now a global brand synonymous with gourmet food retail. The original store resembled a turn-of-the-century food department that combined a spartan aesthetic with hard-to-find foodstuffs. There are now five stores in New York City and six others around the US, as well as 25 stores across Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, South Korea and the Middle East.
