UK electricity prices have continued to rise due to increased demand as a result of cooler weather and a dip in output.

Arabica coffee prices have climbed following concerns about low rainfall during the flowering season, which could impact on crop development in major producer Brazil.

Meanwhile, the price of cotton has fallen as revised forecasts from the US and India predict a rise in production. The latest reports show US production at 16.16 million 480-pound bales, up from 160.03m estimated at the start of October.

Cocoa bean prices have also fallen, due to expectations of a supply surplus in 2016/17. Rainfall in West Africa since August is expected to help the commodity’s recovery following drought last year.
