Winning big on Dragons’ Den helped secure mainstream listings for West-African inspired Chika’s Snacks, which rolled into WH Smith and Waitrose. The line-up includes Plantain Crisps and Chickpea Crisps as well as Smoked Almonds and Black Pepper Cashew Nuts.
Whitworths is out to mix things up with its Fusions range. Building on the success of Whitworths Shots, it rolled out 90g to 100g bags of dried fruit and nuts aimed at health-conscious consumers. The limited Edition Chilli Nutty Coco-Chaos combines sweetness with a bit of a spicy kick.
Keeping parents and kids happy is a difficult task when it comes to snacks. Kallø believes it has found the answer with Kids Milk Chocolate Rise Cake Minis – a healthier alternative to biscuits. Hitting two of the biggest trends of 2015 – high protein and gluten-free – Bounce Cacao Orange burst on to the scene in a bid to prove there’s no need to compromise on taste and nutrition. This zesty new addition is made from cacao nibs, whey protein and sunflower seeds.
