The Wine reclaimed its place at the top of the Promo Dynamic table this week, as alcoholic drinks accounted for three of the top four categories. In total, alcoholic drink offers made up almost a quarter of this week's 1,602 featured-space deals, and wine had by far the biggest share with 165 deals.

Asda had the most wine deals of any retailer, with 47 offers compared with 38 from second-placed Morrisons. Its long-running 3-for-£10 deal dominated. Jacob's Creek was the brand with the most offers, with 18 of the 165 deals.

Almost a third of the wine promotions offered a saving of half price or better, while just under half offered a saving of less than 30%. Stocking your wine cellar with all of this week's deals would cost a hefty £1,146.97 - saving a massive £667.75 (37%) on the £1,814.72 rsp.

The best wine deal and the best deal in the top 50 was Asda's 3-for-£10 on Banrock Reserve, which reduced the total price for three bottles from £26.94 to £10, saving 62.9%. The biggest cash saving, meanwhile, was again on half-price Oral B toothbrushes at Waitrose, where a £25 discount was offered.

Morrisons had the most offers in the top 50 this week, but the biggest savings, of £40.19, were to be had at Somerfield, helped in large part by its hefty reduction on Glenlivet Malt Whisky.

Fortified wine also jumped into the top 50 this week, moving from 51st last week to 31st with seven deals. Buying all this week's top 50 deals would cost £220.69, a 47.9% saving on the rsp of £423.85.
