Somersby’s fantastic homage to Apple’s temples of consumerism was one of the standout ads of the year. But despite lots of clever fruit-related techy gags - “64 pip versus 32 pip” - and a £10m spend, the challenger brand didn’t quite break into the mainstream, strong sales growth only elevating it from 130th to 33rd in our Top Products rankings.
