Supermarkets “Just a fun place to be,” these “quirky” stores – three in Connecticut, one in New York – are configured in an “Ikealike racetrack”, leading shoppers from the aroma-filled bakery and coffee bar, through fresh food and dry grocery goods, before reaching the prepared foods kitchens. While “very much about entertainment”, with “wonderful foods and singing cow and dancing fruit animatronics”, it also has a strict one-in one-out merchandising discipline.
