Originally owned by the Catholic Church in Chile, Umimarc has “led the industry” with its loyalty programme called The Club, which provides discounts on hundreds of products, exclusive offers, sweepstakes and contests at the retailer’s more than 150 stores. It is also “an innovator in store formats”, opening the new concept Food Market, a cross between a supermarket and a specialty store, with a focus on bakery, prepared dishes and organic.
