The BBC's new children's series is seen as competition for Bob the Builder and, with 130 episodes, four books and two videos, is predicted to repeat the success of the Teletubbies. There is a deal with toy maker Fisher-Price for a range for Christmas.

n Kellogg has signed a deal with Japanese animation Beyblades.

n The Brand Licensing Show runs at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London, on October 23 and 24. A workshop designed as a beginner's guide to licensing will also be held at the centre on October 22.
