Bulmers believes it could have the next big thing with its single shot schnapps Sidekick. It launched the brand in the on-trade at the end of last year. Customer marketing director Keith Wishart said: "We seem to have really latched on to something. Sidekick generated £7m in sales in the six weeks following launch." The cider maker is now bringing the brand into the take home this month and supporting it with a £4m launch package including TV advertising. "I think we have a winner on our hands. This will be a million case brand in 12 months." It will be sold in four-packs and Bulmers has developed in store display units for it. {{DRINKS }}
