Freshways has acquired the DairyStix business, including its Devon-based production facility.

The dairy processor said the Plympton site acquisition would aid its growth plans and open the door to additional niche markets. Production and administration staff at the plant will remain unchanged.

“We are confident we can maintain the personal level of service,” the company said.

DairyStix ­- milk in a sachet format - has been in production since 2007.
