Bahlsen has announced a seven-month sponsorship deal with Comedy on Sky1. A series of five and 15-second idents for Bahlsen’s Pick Up! biscuits will bookend adverts during the news series of shows Mount Pleasant, Trollied, After Hours and Stella. Bahlsen said it expected the campaign to reach eight million viewers, who will see the idents an average of 20 times each.

C&C Group is expanding its Chaplin & Cork’s range of premium ciders with the launch of Somerset Vintage, which will be listed in Tesco from next month. An 8.2% abv medium dry cider, it joins the brand’s Somerset Reserve and Somerset Gold, which are listed in Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

Square Pie is launching a pie named after ex-England rugby captain Lawrence Dallaglio’s charity. The Dallaglio Foundation Steak & Ale pie will be available from Ocado and selected Tesco and The Co-op Group stores in London from the end of this month (rsp: £3.49). For each pie sold 10p will be donated.

Maxxium UK is relaunching Grouse variant The Black Grouse as The Famous Grouse Smokey Black (rsp: £20.07). Maxxium said the move was intended to offer a consistent look and feel across the brand’s portfolio and capitalise on the growth in premium blended whisky.

Mars has launched the first TV ad for Galaxy Duet following the sub-brand’s rollout last month. Showing now during The X Factor, the commercial forms part of a £1.5m push.

Ginsters has unveiled its Christmas menu. Available from 28 October, the line-up comprises Christmas Cracker and Cranberry, Wensleydale & Bacon sandwiches, plus a pasty, slice and breadcrumb-wrapped ‘bar’ (rsp: £1.99-£3.49).

Imperial Tobacco is rolling out a pack redesign for Golden Virginia rolling tobacco from next month, which it said was inspired by the brand’s heritage. The new look will appear on 12.5g (rsp: £5.05/£4.77 price-marked pack), 25g (rsp: £9.56/£9.15 pmp) and 50g (rsp: £18.91/£18.09 pmp) packs.

Carlsberg is opening its first London pop-up bar for Belgian abbey beer Grimbergen. The bar will open from six to 11pm on Thursday and Friday (24 and 25 September) in The Vaults underneath Waterloo station. The venue will be fashioned in the style of Grimbergen Abbey, where the beer was first produced, and live music will be performed by vintage band The Retrosettes and rock ‘n’ roll group High Jives.

Yorkshire-based dairy-free ice cream producer Jollyum has secured a listing with Holland & Barrett. The brand’s organic double chocolate variant was rolled into more than 200 of the health retailer’s stores last month (rsp: £5.89/500ml).

Frozen cocktail brand Kold has won a listing in all 44 John Lewis stores for its range, which consists of Frozen Cosmopolitan, Frozen Mojito and Frozen Lychee Martini. The drinks come in a pack of 2x225ml (rsp: £7) and are available in the retailer now.

Madagascan chocolate brand Madécasse is gearing up for Christmas with a festive dark chocolate duo. Available now, the hazelnut & cinnamon and orange & cranberry bars both contain 63% organic cocoa (rsp: £2.99/75g).

German business Pechkeks has launched Misfortune Cookies into the UK. The black cookies, a humorous take on the fortune cookies popular in Chinese restaurants, contain insulting and pessimistic quips and predictions. They come in a pack of 13 (rsp: £10) and are available now in retailers including Selfridges.

Unilever has launched an on-pack promotion for Pot Noodle. Rolling out from next month across the brand’s 90g pots, the Power Pot push gives consumers the chance to win a portable phone charger.

Soreen has teamed up with charity Youth Sport Trust for a campaign to encourage families to get active together. To promote the initiative, the brand is featuring limited-edition packaging across its range of Lunchbox Loaves that shows brand mascot the Loveable Loaf taking part in various forms of exercise.

There’s A Beer For That has partnered with Jamie Oliver’s YouTube channel, Food Tube, which will see four videos showcasing beer and food pairings by ‘Food Busker’ John Quilter. The recipes, created by Quilter, include Four Cheese Mac & Cheese, and Rib-eye with Coffee & Shallot Butter.

Mondelez is expanding its range of Trebor Softmints with new flavour Lemon Mint (rsp: 51p/45g), available now. The product will feature the new pack design rolled out across the Trebor range earlier this month.
