Swiss dairy giant Emmi is to add two new flavours to its four-strong Caffè Latte chilled coffee range from next month.
Espresso Zero (rsp: £1.35), said to be the first coffee of its kind containing no lactose or added sugar, will be sold as part of the standard 230ml range when it rolls out exclusively in Tesco from 20 April.
It will be joined by Mr Big Espresso (rsp: £1.99), which is made with three large shots of espresso (193mg per 370ml cup), making it the strongest coffee in the selection, which uses fresh Swiss milk and Arabica coffee beans.
The Emmi Caffè Latte range experienced a 15.7% uplift in value sales last year to £8.9m [Nielsen Scantrack 52 w/e 11 October 2014], with the success of the range “giving us the opportunity to introduce these two new espresso flavours for serious coffee lovers”, said Emmi head of marketing Laura Graham.
