Nivea is using samba dancers from Rio De Janeiro and surfers from the Algarve to modernise the image of its oldest product.

Nivea Creme will star in its first TV ad campaign since 1994 and help consumers understand its uses. The campaign, 'Around The World', features men, women and children across the globe using the product in their daily lives.

Parent company Beiersdorf UK has made sure it gets seen by many viewers by breaking the ad on Christmas Day. It will continue into the new year and run every other week until March.

"We need to champion Nivea Creme as a timeless brand, relevant to consumers," said Beiersdorf UK marketing director Andrew Frost.
