Poundland has revamped and relaunched its ‘Sweet Heaven’ bagged sweets range.
The new-look sweets are in stores now, priced a £1 a bag. The range has doubled in size to 32 lines, with 16 new lines including Chocolate Mint Creams, Yoghurt Covered Raisins and Giant Foam Bananas. A further seven ranges have had their recipes tweaked.
“We launched the range in 2009 as our own-label confectionery range and it was a great success, but we had a lot of anecdotal feedback on ways we could improve it,” said trading director David Coxon.
“We ran an online survey last year and took the results and made some changes. We have refreshed it and improved the offer, changed the packaging to make it more fun and lively for the kids’ range and the sweets aimed at adults look a little more quality.”
He added: “We are expecting great things. We have targeted a 20% increase in sales and we don’t see any reason we won’t achieve that.”
