M&S has extended its online grocery delivery trial to its Colliers Wood, Merton store.
Customers within a three-mile radius of the south west London branch can order food products from across the retailer’s fresh, frozen, grocery and home lines for home delivery.
The ongoing trial, launched at the beginning of May, does not require a minimum spend and offers £10 off orders of £50 and over. It is open to all customers as opposed to exclusively for the retailer’s Sparks loyalty scheme, as other past trials have been.
“We are running a small food online trial as we test and learn what works for our customers and what works for our business,” said an M&S spokesman.
This trial comes in addition to similar trials M&S has previously conducted, including a click & collect service for Sparks members within a three-mile radius of its Woodley, Reading branch, which has since come to an end.
Its pilot in Camden, meanwhile, offers express delivery for £6.99 for 20 items or less within an hour of Sparks members’ online checkout, £1.99 for a one-hour delivery slot, or a free click and collect service with a two-hour turnaround for members in the three-mile catchment area.
The Colliers Wood trial comes just as the struggling retailer launches a full review of its food business amid like-for-like sales falling 0.3% in the year ending 31 March.
