Brian Cox (the actor one, not the space one) is at the head of a boardroom, which is filled with the anxious chatter of subordinates. He is zoning out. Fans of Succession will be braced for an explosion of rage.

But this isn’t Succession, it’s a Malibu ad. And in an entertaining subversion of Logan Roy, Cox’s character here is a pretty chill guy. He leaves the office – but rather than storming out, he does so on rollerskates, simply to take in a bit of beach life. When work calls, he pops his phone into a pitcher of Malibu-based cocktail.

The setting and Cox’s swagger evoke’s Southern Comfort’s ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ beach bloke of 2012 – though Cox is rather more modestly dressed (he looks cool, albeit ever so slightly similar to KFC’s Colonel). There’s a hint of Roy’s short temper in his instruction to ‘Clock off’, too.
