It’s supporting the push – as many brands do – with a video. And it’s rather a special one. To a backdrop of smooth muzak, a funky, vaguely sinister hipster adjusts his hat, strokes his beard and occasionally frowns bemusedly at the camera. Close-ups ensure we notice his pocket watch chain, hand tattoos, neckerchief and Mumford & Sons-rivalling collection of waistcoats. You half expect him to ride off on a penny-farthing equipped with a gramophone.
It’s certainly an arresting way to present the facts about Burleighs, which we learn is ‘official partners’ with Scottish rugby player Doddie Weir, the Leicester Tigers rugby team and, er, Marilyn Monroe. What?
If that doesn’t make you want to hand over £15k for a 4.5-litre rehoboam of pink gin, nothing will. Good luck guys!
