Harry Potter author JK Rowling famously wrote much of her wizardly opus in an Edinburgh coffee shop. Now she’s been honoured by another city establishment - the Conan Doyle pub - which is now named… The JK Rowling.
A shiny new sign features a slightly disappointed-looking Rowling at a table. Perhaps she’s unhappy that there’s no butterbeer behind the bar. Or maybe she’s a bit put out that the change is only temporary - it’s part of a Hogmanay visual art installation. Relax, Sherlock Holmes fans!
