Valentine’s Day may have passed, but it’s still possible to be struck by Galaxy chocolate’s beautifully made ad for the occasion.

We follow a woman on her journey through life, navigating traffic, work, exercise and nightlife at pace. Occasionally, an arrow flies through the air, missing its mark and skewering nearby scenery - and in one case a passer-by.

Only when she pauses to eat some Galaxy chocolate does Cupid finally manage to assail our heroine. The concept is original, forcing the viewer to confront the metaphor’s violence, and the reveal of the Goddess of love is worth the wait.

A gorgeous cello-based soundtrack, excellent cinematography and superb effects make this ad an all-round success. We love it.
