Harrison Ford can be forgiven for seeming less than enthusiastic about certain roles. He’s 82, after all.

But in this meta-advert, which supposedly documents the Indiana Jones star heading off to Scotland to film a spot for Glenmorangie, he’s rather keen to “sit by the fire and drink amazing smooth Glenmorangie single malt”. And so he does, all the while carping about a pitch for the ad that sees him perched atop a mountain surrounded by bagpipers… which is of course exactly what happens.

Ford’s hire alone is impressive, but he delivers an endearingly grouchy performance, gamely delivering a not-entirely-unpredictable kilt gag at the end. And the ad is – it takes pains to point out – directed by fellow thesp Joel Edgerton. Glenmorangie is just showing off at this point.
