It’s a week of firsts for The Grocer – not only is P&G’s UK & Ireland boss Irwin Lee guest-editing this week’s issue, but on Friday we are broadcasting the MAP Awards live online.
The Grocer’s Marketing Advertising and PR Awards, as the name suggests, celebrate the very best in client and agency creativity in grocery and FMCG. It’s a chance for the ad men and women among us to shine – and to take home a shiny trophy.
The MAP Awards’ 22 categories are split between creative and agency awards – ranging from Brand Experience of the Year to Outdoor Campaign of the Year – and cover all marketing disciplines: not just posters and TV/cinema but social media/experiential and trade advertising as well.
The awards are judged by a panel of 20 experts from across the industry, selected on the basis of their expertise and independence.
Last year’s winners included AMV BBDO for its Big Cat Little Cat campaign for Whiskas, and JWT’s April Fool’s radio spot for “left-handed” Kleenex tissues.
There are 185 entries vying for prizes this year, and, for the first time, the announcement of the winners will be live-streamed from Prospero House in London on The Grocer website.
The lucky winners will then gain an invite to an exclusive celebratory presentation lunch on Friday 24 October at Circus in Covent Garden. And for the runners-up, there’s always the chance to register for next year’s awards…
So join us at 4pm on Friday for the live broadcast of the MAP Awards winners here.
