People will go to great lengths to get their hands on our cookies… What would YOU do for a Maryland Cookie? #WWYDMaryland #WWYD pic.twitter.com/ogE60yufVy

Shop owners in Adland have money to burn right now. Hot on the heels of the retailer who accepts buttons as payment for Cadbury Dairy Milk comes this ad, in which a Maryland Cookies merchant similarly gives away his stock.
Our man’s store says ‘money not accepted’ on the door. Instead, he patiently entertains a variety of cookie cravers, including a drummer, a bubble blower, a human statue and someone who thinks ‘flipping’ a water bottle is impressive. It’s like Britain’s Got Talent, but with a more tangible reward - and the cookies are generously given.
Maryland is clearly angling for some consumer interaction with its ‘what would you do for a cookie?’ tagline. We hope the response on social media is family friendly.
