It’s not just Magnum that can play up what its product sounds like when bitten into. Apple brand Pink Lady’s new TV spot begins with an aural treat, too: a fresh-sounding crack followed by a hint of fizz – a hint it’s the ‘champagne of apples’, perhaps.

Our fruit-gobbler, it’s revealed, is ringside at a dog show. And, inspired by her snack, she decides there’s no reason why the hounds should have all the fun. To a lively string soundtrack, she joyously jumps bars and shimmies through tunnels. The crowd – and some canine competitors – seem divided over her performance, but she’s not in it for validation.

‘Find your fizz’, goes the slogan – a nice callback to that opening sound. It’s good, clean fun – with the wisdom to feature some irresistibly cute dogs.
