If you’re reading this, you survived Blue Monday - supposedly the most depressing day of the year. Although improbably it fell before Trump’s inauguration.
Anyway, what simpler and more delicious way to buy happiness than by treating yourself to pizza?
Pizza Hut this year applied some science to creating a cheerful pizza. It got nutrition expert Rebecca Hirst to identify the toppings most likely to increase the chemicals (serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins) that give us the jollies.
So what’s the magic recipe? Tomato sauce, mozzarella, tuna, red onion, olives and sweetcorn. It probably wouldn’t make a vegetarian happy, but otherwise it sounds quite a lot like any pizza, doesn’t it?
Perhaps that’s the point. And eating in front of some uplifting ‘audio visual art’ (see picture) helps us be happy, anyway. Even when we have to eat salad.
