I was touched by the article on Patrick Galvani in the excellent commemorative issue of The Grocer. He interviewed and employed me as the meatmanager for the Wimbledon store in 1957. A number of moves later, I retired from Somerfield in 1995.

We spoke on many occasions and I remember him well. If possible, may I ask you to pass this letter on to Patrick with my best wishes and mutual and warm reminiscences?
