Is there any grocery category more boring than bottled water? Newsflash! It all tastes the same and comes out of taps anyway!
Fortunately, Volvic has realised this; its latest ad barely mentions the bottled stuff, instead concentrating on some awesome visuals as it tells the story of life on Earth (water gets an honourable mention).
As pretentious and bombastic as Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, it has the advantage of being 137 minutes shorter - so it’s much more fun. There are explosions, dinosaurs and shouty bearded men - all set to a grand orchestral score and a voiceover that bangs on about being ‘giant’ and ‘immortal’.
It’s nonsensical, spectacular and entirely epic. What was it we were advertising again?
