If you ever thought whisky connoisseurship was anything other than a way of tastefully appreciating craftsmanship, then witness the booze cellar of Viet Nguyen Dinh Tuan of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This chamber of class houses Viet’s 535-strong collection of whiskies, which has just been valued at £10.8m – a Guinness World Record. Highlights include a 1926 Macallan, worth about £1.2m on its own, and one of only 12 bottles of the oldest Bowmore ever released.
Viet plans on extending his collection, but didn’t say anything about mixers. We can’t wait to see the room in which he keeps all his cherry cola, Irn-Bru and Monster Energy.
