The Little Big Food Company has come up what it claims is the UK's first range of frozen organic herbs.
Launching exclusively in Sainsbury, the company said herbs in the four-strong range were frozen within hours of being picked.
A spokesman insisted: "That means they taste every bit as good as home-grown fresh herbs."
Frozen herbs have been popular in France for many years, said the company, but have only recently caught on in the UK. The new range comes in basil, parsley, coriander and garlic varieties, each containing pure herbs free from added ingredients or preservatives.
Rsp is £1.09 for a 50g box.
