Fenwicks gets Bevan 

Asda's finance director of retail and logistics Richard Bevan will leave the company in December to take up a new role as chief finance officer at independent department store group Fenwicks. Bevan joined Adsa four years ago from Tesco. 

Recycling boost 

Tetra Pak UK & Ireland has appointed three new national recycling officers to accelerate the development of drinks carton recycling in the UK. Fay Dashper and Jenny Walden join the company from Oxfordshire County Council, where they were responsible for waste reduction. Long-serving Tetra Pak employee Benjamin Aebischer has also joined the team and brings his knowledge of the technical aspects of cartons to the role. 

Wylie promoted 

United Biscuits has announced that trade communications manager Jessica Wylie has been appointed senior brand manager for savoury biscuits. She will be looking after the full Jacob's range, which has recently been expanded with new light and flavoured versions of the core Cream Crackers brand, and the new premium Savours range. 

Freshers operations 

Snackfoods manufacturer Freshers Foods has announced the appointment of Jonathan Kearns as its new operations director. Kearns has previously held operational and technical roles with Lancashire Dairies. Freshers manufactures own label products as well as a range of products under the Freshers Foods banner such as Pub Original Pork Scratchings. 

No agm re-election 

Lord MacGregor and Mike Alexander, independent non-executive directors of Associated British Foods, have said they will not be seeking re-election at the company's agm next month. Tim Clarke will act as the senior independent director.
