BWG Group has appointed Peter Kealy to a newly created role of group development director.
Kealy was MD of BWG subsidiary J& J Haslett until last month’s management buyout
(see p9). He was previously md of BWG-owned Spar wholesaler Appleby Westward, where he turned the company around.
He will work with the management of various BWG companies including BWG Foods and Appleby Westward to deliver their strategic objectives.
And he will focus on advising management on development of BWG’s symbol brands - Spar and Mace in Ireland and the south west of England.
Kealy will report directly to BWG group chief executive Leo Crawford. He will be a board director of BWG Foods, Spar Ireland and Appleby Westward.
