Charcuterie brand Aoste is tapping into the growing snacking potential for cold speciality meats with the launch of three mini bagged products in Tesco this month.
The company, which produces salamis and pâtés, is making its first entry into the snacking category with Chorizo snacks in an 80g bag as well as Spicy and Classic Stikado snacks - thin sticks of salami - in 70g bags.
Hitting shelves on Monday (November 7) with an rsp of £1.69, the bite-sized meats are designed to be eaten on the go, but can also be used for canapés and as part of tapas dishes because of their speciality credentials.
Celebrity chef Ed Baines will promote the Aoste brand and has developed new recipes and different ways of using the products.
A marketing campaign including print advertising will support the brand during next year.
