Heinz has extended the Soup Cup microwaveable format to its Weight Watchers range.
Heinz originally launched the convenient format, which heats in 90 seconds, in June 2003, and supported it with a £5.5m marketing campaign.
The new Weight Watchers range will initially be available in three flavours - Tomato, Country Vegetable and Thai Chicken - and will retail between 99p and £1.09 for a 275g cup.
Brand manager Jessica Worley said the new Weight Watchers soups, which are rolling out now, will increase slimmers’ choices beyond ‘grab and go’ options.
