Bosses at Londis made presentations to potential bidders this week to give them a better understanding of the business.
Vice chairman and acting chief executive Peter McNamara and senior managers gave interested parties detailed briefings on Londis’ operations and finances that would be critical in the due diligence process, said a spokesman.
Separately, Londis trading director (RDC) John Taylor, trade marketing director Ross Halliday, operations director Jon Peggs, IS director Nicola Duckett, retail director Tony Riddy, trading director (drop shipment) Kenton Lawton and financial controller Rob Millward are to join a new operating board.
This was to reassure retailers someone was running the company following the departures of executive directors Graham White and Andrew Wallace from the main board, the spokesman said.
Both White and Wallace still work for Londis on a consultancy basis.
