Northern c-store chain Day & Nite will open its 100th outlet this summer. Chairman Frank Heald said the company planned to open six stores before June  in Bolton, Blackpool, Bradford, Leeds, Teesside and Shipley. And he confirmed that two recent acquisitions would be fully refurbished by the summer  allowing it to hit the 100 store mark. Heald said: "We have achieved our strategic aims by having good coverage of the north of England." Day & Nite diversified into a new geographic area last autumn when it bought family owned chain Heagneys in Middlesbrough. But Heald said Day & Nite would concentrate on "infill" expansion within this extended trading area, rather than expanding into new regions. He also confirmed that all the Heagneys stores have now been converted to the Day & Nite fascia. {{NEWS }}
