One Stop has gone live with Just Eat at 40 company-owned stores.
Up to 500 grocery items including bread, milk, toiletries and snacks will be available to order as the Tesco-owned retailer continues to tap the growing need for on-demand convenience.
It told The Grocer the new partnership would work in conjunction with its tie-up with Deliveroo at more than 200 company-owned stores. It said some sites would offer both services while others may offer one depending on the coverage of the providers.
“[Our partnership with Just Eat] won’t have any impact on our store numbers with Deliveroo,” the business said. “But we will now look to explore growth opportunities with Just Eat while continuing to grow with Deliveroo.”
Just Eat’s national reach means it could offer delivery for up to 500 One Stop stores.
“We’re always striving to offer our customers more choice, convenience and the very best service, and this partnership enables us to do just that,” said Just Eat UK MD Andrew Kenny.
“One Stop is a much-loved British convenience store at the heart of many local communities, making it a perfect partner for Just Eat. We look forward to helping One Stop shoppers enjoy more of their favourite items, delivered directly to their door.”
One Stop MD Jonny McQuarrie said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Just Eat and as always, we are committed to making it as easy as possible for our customers to shop with us.
“Customers will be able to have great quality products at their doorstep within minutes. We look forward to offering the Just Eat service to both our existing loyal customers and new customers across the country.”
